I have had a lot of people coming through the store this month that got Mr Beer kits for Christmas and are looking for ideas and ingredients to step it up. Mr Beer is a pretty rudimentary kit that features a 2 gallon fermentor and includes a hopped malt extract, booster, dry brewing yeast and a no-rinse cleanser. This simple little kit has introduced countless people into the world of homebrewing, and many have even progressed into professional brewing.
Step into all grain home brewing with our 5 gallon Igloo cooler mash tun conversion. The heavy duty cooler will hold a consistant mash temperature for hours with a capacity of 10-14 lbs of grain.
This mash tun includes a 5 gallon Igloo cooler, our 9" stainless steel false bottom, weldless cooler conversion kit, stainless steel 3/8" barb x 1/2"MPT fitting and a short piece of 3/8" tubing to connect the false bottom to the ball valve assembly.
Our 1/2" weldless bulkhead fitting fits 7/8" hole in your keg or kettle. Easily add ball valve, sight glass, thermometer and other items with a 1/2 inch pipe tap fitting to your homebrewing mash tun, boil kettle or hot liquir tank.
This weldless bulkhead is meant for a thin wall vessel such as a keg or pot. It includes all stainless 1/2" NPT parts including locknut, threaded close nipple, silicone washer (with spare), metal shim washer and coupling.
Perforated stainless steel false bottom converts 5 gallon beverage coolers or buckets with at least a 9" opening into a mash tun for all grain home brewing, beer making.
Our omed false bottom is constructed from 304 stainless steel with 3/32 perforated holes with 1/2" dome height. Comes with a 3/8" barbed 90° stainless steel elbow hose fitting in the center to draw the wort from beneath the dome.
