AHA Big Brew is a celebration of National Homebrew Day. Each year homebrewers around the world invite family and friends to their brewing site on the first Saturday in May to celebrate the holiday. Everyone is encouraged to help out with the brew, enjoy the fun and join in on a world-wide toast at noon Central time.
In 1988, May 7th was announced before Congress as National Homebrew Day. The American Homebrewers Association created AHA Big Brew as an annual event to celebrate National Homebrew Day around the world. AHA Big Brew is held each year on the first Saturday in May.
AHA Big Brew is about: homebrewers getting together all over the world to share their love for the hobby.
This year's AHA Big Brew Day will he hosted by the Ale-ian Society, Lubbock's Homebrewing club, at Sograte BBQ and Brew. We invite you to come join us free of charge for this social brew etiher as guest or a participant with your brewing gear. This is a great opportunity to see the various methods and creative ways of making your very own high quality beer at home.
